St Nicholas has a long-established choral tradition and music plays a very important part in the liturgy of the church. We have a mixed adult 'SATB' choir, with a treble line of boys. The choir leads worship at the 9:15 and 6:15 Sunday services and rehearses in church on Friday evenings.
For boys aged 8 and over and boys and girls of secondary school age, this group encourages young people to sing to a high standard.
As well as offering singing as part of our church services and it can also offer opportunities further afield (in some of England’s magnificent cathedrals) as part of the Royal School of Church Music's Northern Cathedral Singers.
